CLEAN BIRMINGHAMA desolate, poorly-lit road an overturned bin, the smell of mould and rodent feces. Open bags of trash and rubbish scattered on the sidewalk. Would you walk alone there? Your sixth sense may advise against it.
Lingering trash and litter are visible public health and social problems caused by the behavior of people around the world. Littering is done when people feel no responsibility to the environment and they do not respect the public places they frequent. Education and information can help support the change; creating convenient and plentiful trash receptacles can also help. Both people and place play a role. As firmly going by the saying of Our Prophet Mohammed Peace Be upon Him “Cleanliness is half of the faith.” It is a project of Bismillah Aid to make sure our surroundings are clean, pest-free and well looked-after. Bismillah Aid team, the locals take part in providing assistance to pick the litter and black bags from the streets of Birmingham along with organising dumped rubbish to be disposed of at the local depot. Waste management plays a key role in maintaining public spaces through improvements in garbage collection, street cleaning, optimisation of dumpsters and programs that encourage garbage reduction. |
